Elizaveta CIBOTARU

Elizaveta Cibotaru was born in 2003 in Chişinău, Moldova. At the age of five she started learning the violin at the Liceul Republican de Muzică “Ciprian Porumbescu” in Chişinău, in the violin class of Nikolai Buinovschii, who was a student of Igor Oistrakh, and later studied with his wife - Galina Buinovschii and his son Vadim Buinovschii.
In Moldova Elizaveta participated in numerous projects, concerts, and competitions. In 2017 she won the first price at the international Zlata Tkach competition; in 2018, the second prize at the Paul Contantinescu competition in Romania, Ploiești. She played in the “Moldovan National Youth Orchestra” and supported charity projects in her hometown.
In 2021, Elizaveta started her bachelor’s degree at the Haute École de Musique de Genève-Neuchâtel in the violin class of Sergery Ostrosky, where she now continues her studies.
She participated in numerous masterclasses with wonderful musicians, including Mihaela Martin Silvia Marcovici, Bartolomej Niziol, Yair Kless, Bogdana Pivnenko, Stefan Arzberger, among others.
She plays a Honoré Derazey violin from the Lalive Foundation in Geneva.
