Arne started playing the cello at the age of six. Between 11 and 14 years he was educated by Daniel Geiss at the Department of Music at Mainz University, and then changed to the gifted student class of Professor Peter Bruns at the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix-Mendelssohn-Bartholdy“ Leipzig.

In 2020 Arne was admitted as a scholar of the International Music Academy Liechtenstein, where he regularly attends masterclasses and concerts. In addition, he holds a scholarship of the „Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben“ since 2019 and was supported by the International Music Academy Berlin from 2020 to 2022.

Arne early became award winner in national and international competitions: in the federal German competition „Jugend musiziert“ Arne was awarded numerous first national prizes; 2019 and 2022 in the category Cello solo, in 2021 with piano duo, too. This duo also won the first prize in the traditional Karel Kunc chamber music competition for young musicians. On international level, Arne won the third prize and a special prize at the International Dotzauer Competition for young cellists in 2019 and received the first prize of the International Anna Kull Competition for Cello in Graz in 2020 as the youngest contestant in his age group. In 2022 he won the single first prize of his age group at the International Gustav-Mahler Cello Competition.

2022 Arne was decorated with the “Werner-Stiefel-Preis” of the Carl-Flesch-Academy Baden-Baden, and he was the recipient of the biannual “Lichtenberger Musikpreis 2022” for exceptional young artists.

Arne debuted with Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations at 13 years of age. In summer and autumn of 2022 he performed the cello concerto by E.W. Korngold together with the Baden-Baden Philharmonics, in January 2023 the Beethoven sonata in A major accompanied by the LGT Young soloists at the Musikverein Wien.

Arne is equally interested in chamber music and orchestral play: in 2021 he participated in the chamber music projects „Mit Musik miteinander“ at Kronberg Academy, and in 2021 and 2022 in „Musique à Flaine“ in northern France. From 2020-2022 he was frequently involved in chamber music projects as guest of the „Young Academy“ at the “Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst” Frankfurt/Main. He joined the German National Youth Orchestra aged 13 and the international string ensemble LGT Young Soloists aged 14.

He received additional artistic impulses from masterclasses with Ulrich Voss, Christoph Richter, Peter Bruns, Ivan Monighetti, Jens Peter Maintz and Frans Helmerson, who chose him as an active participant in the Kronberg cello masterclasses 2022 and awarded him with a scholarship. In summer 2022 Arne participated on personal invitation of Jan Vogler in a workshop with the six cello suites by J.S. Bach as part of the series „Meisterschüler-Meister“ of the Schloss Neuhardenberg Foundation.

Arne regularly participates in different types of concerts like solo recitals, chamber music projects, or as soloist and member of Orchestra of the LGT string ensemble. He performed solo for example at the Konzerthaus Berlin, the City Hall Vaduz, Baden-Baden and the Casals Forum in Kronberg. As a member of the German National Youth Orchestra he played under renowned conductors on the stages of the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden or La Seine Musicale, Paris and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. LGT Young Soloists projects took him to Tonhalle Zürich, Casino Bern, Liechtenstein, Tromso, Sydney and Bangkok.

Being a laureate of the 29th Competition by the „Deutscher Musikinstrumentenfonds” in 2022, Arne plays a French cello by Georges Chanot I. from 1840 in federal governmental possession. Furthermore he is kindly supported with the Charles Maucotel cello „ex-Tortelier“ (1850), courtesy of a member of the Stretton Society.

Arne is the youngest of three brothers, is interested in sports and all kind of arts and he lives and attends high school in Mainz.
