Masterclasses : Intensive Individual Work
Each student will receive at least 4 individual lessons of 60 minutes. Every morning, the public masterclasses will be held in the inspiring salons of the Société de Lecture, the Barbier-Mueller Museum, and the Conservatoire Populaire de Musique. All sites are ideally located in the beautiful old city of Geneva.
Three collaborative pianists will be available for the lessons when required.
Chamber Music
Every afternoon, students get to collaborate with the faculty in chamber music. Chamber groups are formed by the academy, including at least one faculty member in each group. Students are welcome to suggest repertoire.
Concerts
Several concerts are organised in order to give each participant the opportunity to perform as a soloist and in chamber music groups.
Formed Ensembles
The Geneva International String Academy is open to already formed string quartets.
The professors of the 2025 edition of the Geneva International String Academy are members of the established ensembles Aviv Quartet, Alban Berg Quartet and Leipzig String Quartet.
The Academy offers full comprehensive support covering all costs for each invited young musician. This includes musical training and masterclasses, participation in concerts, accommodation, meals, and instrument maintenance made possible by the presence of a luthier.
Board
Members of our Board include lawyers, artists, business persons. These dedicated volunteers ensure that the Academy operates to best serve all of its participants and audiences.
