The Société de Lecture, created in 1818, is nowadays considered as one of the most dynamic cultural places in Geneva. Immediately famous for its cultural influence and exceptional library, it offers today a diversified program of conferences, debates and thematic cycles, workshops in personal development, réflexion and creativity as well as activities for children and youngsters.

The Société de Lecture is situated in a beautiful mansion in the heart of Geneva’s old town, built between 1740 and 1743 for the French king’s official representative.
