Pierre-Alain Baron

Violinist Pierre-Alain Baron has formed the Duo Baron-Fleury with pianist Pierre Fleury since 2021. Founded in Brussels, the duo went on to study at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Lyon.

A laureate of the Kreutzer International Music Competition in 2024, the duo explores the violin and piano repertoire from aesthetic, organological and historical angles: major works by Beethoven, Schubert, Ravel and Messiaen, lesser-known pieces and women composers such as Marguerite Canal, Rebecca Clarke and Galina Ustvolskaya. It performs in France, Belgium and Switzerland, where it also gives masterclasses and educational sessions.
