Adi Varon began her cello studies with Luba Rabin in 2011. She studied with Zvi Plesser between 2016 and 2022.
Adi is currently a student of prof. Hillel Zori at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University.
Adi won the First Prize at the Paul Ben-Haim Competition in 2022 and at the BMSM String Competition in 2024. She has been a scholarship recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation since 2015 and of the Ronen Foundation since 2024. Adi was awarded the 2025 Music Prize of the Bruno Frey Foundation in Germany.
In 2025, Adi was selected by Maestro Lahav Shani, and performed as a soloist under his baton with the School of Music Symphony Orchestra at the annual gala concert at the Heichal HaTarbut, Tel Aviv.
Adi is a member of the The Musethica international program. She is also among the alumni of the Perlman Music Program and of the Keshet Eilon Mastercourse. In 2022, she served as principal section leader in the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra.
Adi took part in the David Goldman Program, the Israel Philharmonic Young Orchestra, and the Huberman Program of the Jerusalem Music Centre.
Adi has performed in live chamber music radio broadcasts on Kol HaMusica in the “Young Artists at the Centre” program of the Jerusalem Music Centre (2020, 2025, 2026) and the “Excellence - The Next Generation” program of the Eden-Tamir Music Center (2023, 2025).
Adi has participated in masterclasses with world-renowned musicians such as Frans Helmerson, Gary Hoffman, Hans Jørgen Jensen, Orfeo Mandozzi, Clara Kim and Chaim Taub, among others.
Beginning in October 2026, Adi will join the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Academy Program.
