Born in Nice in 1996, Loris Sikora began the cello at the age of six with Jacques Perrone in Menton, then studied with Cyrille Lacrouts in Aulnay-sous-Bois and with Frédérique Audibert at the Monaco Academy. In 2017 he entered the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Lyon in the classes of Yvan Chiffoleau and Pascal Jemain; he now works with Emmanuelle Bertrand.
He has attended masterclasses with Jérôme Pernoo, Marc Coppey, Xavier Phillips, Philippe Muller, Ophélie Gaillard, Christoph Henkel and François Salque. He plays with the ensemble Bestiaire and the Orchestre de chambre de Lyon, played from 2017 to 2019 with Julien Chauvin in the CNSMD chamber orchestra, and in 2020 was a member of the Orchestre français des jeunes under Fabien Gabel and of the first edition of the Orchestre de chambre de l’île de Groix.
In 2020 he co-founded the Kâla Quartet with Lilya Chifman, Seamus Mc Namarra and Salomé Kirklar; the quartet has performed at the Musique à Flaine festival and took part in the Geneva International String Academy in 2022.
