Born in Paris in 2005, Clara Messina began playing the violin at the age of six. She studied successively with Rodica Bogdanas, Christophe Poiget, and Agnès Reverdy at the Regional Conservatories of Boulogne-Billancourt and Paris, before entering the Paris Conservatory (CNSM) at the age of fifteen to study with Stéphanie-Marie Degand.
In 2022, she won second prize as well as the audience prize at the Cambrai International Violin Competition, and then received second prize at the Jeunes Talents Competition in Paris.
In 2023, she was the only French violinist selected for the semifinals of the Mirecourt International Competition, during which she was entrusted with a violin by Andreas Guarnerius.
Selected for several international academies (Santander, Villecroze, Tibor Varga in Sion, Sincronia Musica in Rome), she earned her bachelor’s degree unanimously with honors in 2024 and participated in the Caunes Minervois Festival, performing in a duo with cellist Edgar Moreau.
Clara performed Thierry Escaich’s “Nun komm” at the “Thierry Escaich and Friends” recital in January 2025, and in July she returned to the Santander Academy, where she had the opportunity to perform in six chamber music concerts, including one with clarinetist Gabor Varga.
In January 2026, she participated in the Musikfest at the Philharmonie de Paris, performing alongside Liya Petrova, Alexandre Kantorow, Daniel Hope, Jean Rondeau, and Lise Berthaud, among others.
