Dániel Hodos was born in Hungary and studied at the School for Exceptional Young Talents of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest. In 2021, he received a Kohl Scholarship to study at the Colburn Music Academy in Los Angeles, where he studied with Joan Kwuon. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in the studio of Prof. Tobias Feldmann at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig.

Hodos is a winner of the 2023 Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant and was invited to perform at the Salon’s annual Gala Awards Concert at Merkin Hall in New York. His performances have been featured on The Violin Channel and on WQXR’s Young Artists Showcase. He is also a recipient of the 2023 Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Scholarship, an honor awarded annually to 20 outstanding young musicians by NPR’s From the Top. This year, he was selected as a Student Artist for the 2025 Starling–DeLay Symposium on Violin Studies at The Juilliard School.

He is a prizewinner of several international competitions, including the Kloster Schöntal International Violin Competition, the Jenő Hubay International Violin Competition, and the Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition. He was also winner of the Colburn Academy Concerto Competition.

As a soloist, Hodos has appeared with leading orchestras such as the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, the MÁV Symphony Orchestra, the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra, and the Hungarian Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. He has participated in masterclasses with Midori Goto, Catherine Cho, Philip Setzer, Tatjana Masurenko, Kirill Troussov, Shlomo Mintz, and Barnabás Kelemen.

Hodos has attended several prestigious summer programs, including the Aspen Music Festival and School in 2023, where he studied with Robert Lipsett as a Starling Fellow. In 2022, he attended the Meadowmount School of Music on a full scholarship, studying with Gerardo Ribeiro. In 2024, he was selected to participate in the Carl Flesch Academy in Baden-Baden.
